Kaufman Bagel rolls back prices

Kaufman's Bakery & Delicatessen, Skokie, Ill., wants tough economic times to lead to a bread line, one that leads out of the bakery's door. Co-owner Bette Dworkin hopes her announcement of a 15 percent price reduction on the bakery's breads, rolls and bagels creates such a line. “Times are tough, but the cost of wheat and flour has decreased, so we want to pass this savings on to our customers,” Dworkin said.
